There are a number of terms used throughout this manual that we feel need some explanation.
Pool instance: This is a collection of one or more drives that are used to form a storage pool. Drive Bender is capable of having one or more pool instances. The pool instance is the most top level entity.
Drive node: A drive node is simply a physical hard drive or volume within the pool.
Mount point: A mount point is the entry point by which the pool is accessed. You can create either a drive letter mount point, or a networked mount point (like a shared folder).
Primary file: The main (or primary) file within the pool. This is the file that is physically accessible via a mount point.
Duplicate file: A secondary file that duplicates a primary file on the pool. This file will reside on a different physical hard drive and is not directly accessible. Duplicate file reside in a sub folder called "FOLDER.DUPLICATE.$DRIVEBENDER"
