Merge a drive into the pool

Using the merge drive feature, you are able to take an existing drive with files on it and merge this into an existing pool. A drive that is to be merged must a Windows drive letter prior to merging.
Important - The merge feature (as a separate option) is only available under the Console version of the manager. To merge with Drive Bender Manager, use the add drive option.

Using the “select path” option, select the drive (and optionally a folder) to be merged. Important note – Only the files and folders under the selected folder will be merged, this does not include the selected folder itself. For example, if you select “D:\” all files and folders under drive “D” will be merged. If you select “D:\Folder1”, all files and folders under “Folder1” will be merged, however the folder “Folder1” will not appear in the pool.
Next you need to select a target mount point, from the drop down select a mount point.
Using the “Path to merge into”, you can specific a folder within the mount point to merge into. For example if you select the mount point “My Share”, then a path under that i.e. “My Share\Folder1”, the merged data will appear under this path.
Once you have entered all relevant information, select “Merge” to perform the merge. The merge operation may take some time to complete.
